Local Hockey Scholars Rewarded by Caps

On May 5, Germantown Elementary 5th grade students were rewarded by the Washington Capitals for their participation in Future Goals – Hockey Scholar, as the team hosted a Hockey School during gym class. The Caps Street Team and two alumni — Errol Rausse and Alan Hanglesben — took over the gymnasium and taught the kids various street hockey skills and how it relates to STEM.

As an additional bonus, all of the gear was donated to Germantown Elementary so that the school can continue street hockey education. The first student that completed Hockey Scholar was awarded an autographed stick by Jay Beagle, which we assume will be used to score goals and make SportsCenter Top 10.
