Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I loved school as a student and was committed to being a life long learner. I have also always loved kids so through teaching I have been able to blend those two passions.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

Watching students overcome fears and obstacles and be successful in many ways both in and out of the classroom.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

It provides the students with exact reinforcement of the standards that are being taught. Students love using tech to learn and they are able to observe how the world around us (sports, etc) are connected to our everyday lives. I always teach them that science is all around us and this is program is a perfect example of that.

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

Engaged and connected plus we have quite a few kids that play hockey themselves so they are loving this transfer of knowledge

Who is your favorite hockey player?

Elvis Merzlikins. Being a goalie he has to be tough both physically and mentally!
