Tell us about yourself!

I have been teaching in District 833 for 18 years. I thought when I was leaving high school that I would be some kind of counselor. Being a classroom teacher became a dream later on after we started a family. I run many after school events for all student and volunteer for school functions.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Currently it is Kirill Kaprizov. He is so talented and fun to watch. He appears to enjoy the game. Growing up, I also played through high school and the experience was rewarding.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

It allows students to work at their own pace and experience real life skills. Students will interact with their peers and ask questions and problem solve together when needed.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I did play hockey growing up in Forest Lake, MN. I played defense and one of my favorite players was Graig Hartsburg for THE Minnesota North Stars. Love his shot.
