Tell us about yourself!

I teach Computer Programming/Robotics, and Math 1 w/Computing & Robotics and Math6 at American Canyon Middle school. I attended UC Davis and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, with an emphasis on Evolution & Ecology, and a minor in Political Science. I earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Technology from Touro University. I love teaching because every day in interesting, and I find teaching to be enjoyable, and students have fun with Robotics. The AC Robotics students and Girls Can Too! clubs (Girls in STEM) have been involved in Elementary Workshops. My former students return from the HS to mentor my MS students.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Wayne Gretzy – He has aspired to have great accomplishments, and his hard work and determination has allowed him opportunities and advanced him in his career.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

It allows students to connect both Math and Science concepts, which helps them enrich their skills in these classes as well as my class.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I would play any defense because offense seems much too difficult, and the goalie position is scary!
