Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I wanted to help kids have fun exercising and teach them how important it is to lead a healthy lifestyle. I love sports and I am so lucky to get to play outside every day.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

It is always the best when former students come back to visit.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

The students can work at their own pace, when they have time outside of regular class time. Especially during this time where we are learning virtually, it provides the students an exciting and engaging way to learn about health and wellness. Also the social emotional lessons are something very valuable to the students right now as they continue to be apart from their friends.

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

They were excited to see the Vegas Golden Knights connection, and they loved having Alyssa as the guest speaker in class.
