Langevin School Visit: Featuring Flames Alum, Mason Raymond and Matt Stajan!
On Friday, December 6th, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students received a special visit from Flames Alumni Mason Raymond and Matt Stajan.
After they visited a classroom of students utilizing the Future Goals- Hockey Scholar program, Raymond and Stajan spoke to the students about how they’ve used STEM to help their game- through speed and heart monitors to track them at practice and passing using angles to make tough passes.
They also talked about how their teachers and coaches helped them build character, their exercise and eating plans, how meaningful goal setting is, the importance of education- even as a hockey player- you’re still a student to your coaching staff. The day ended with a game of Future Goals Jeopardy, testing the student’s knowledge on what they’ve learned throughout the course and some questions about their favorite team, the Calgary Flames!
