Minnesota Wild Visits Local School

Minnetonka Middle West welcomed Marcus Foligno from the Minnesota Wild on Monday, February 11.

In a conversation moderated by in-arena host Jim Cunningham, Marcus spoke to over 400 students gathered in the school’s media center about hockey, school, and goal-setting.

“In order to achieve long term goals, you need to have short-term goals,” said Marcus, who discussed his path to the NHL, his routine before games and connections between STEM and hockey, among other topics.

The assembly concluded with a student-led Q&A.

Following the assembly, Marcus met with Hockey Scholar students, who showed him their progress on the course. The Wild are on pace to bring Future Goals – Hockey Scholar to over 15,000 students in their home market.
