Ritenour Middle Scores With Blues

The St. Louis Blues took over Ritenour Middle School on November 16th, celebrating their usage of the Future Goals program! The Street Blues ran hockey clinics during physical education class throughout the day while math teacher, Amanda Drilling, took her students through Hockey Scholar and set them up for a Stanley Cup run.

With Louie the mascot roaming the halls, students were buzzing and questioning which players from their favorite team would show up. Once the clock struck 1:30PM, they found out!

Blueliner Colton Parayko, netminder Carter Hutton, and Blues legend Bobby Plager stepped into Ms. Drilling’s classroom, ready to help them achieve their goal of winning that coveted Stanley Cup through the Hockey Scholar program. Afterward, the players trotted up to the gymnasium, eager to grab a hockey stick and start finding twine!

The school’s hockey club joined in on the fun, and while we’re not entirely sure which team won, it was an exciting experience for everyone involved. To check out a video recap of the event, click here.
