Tampa Bay Centennial Celebration

On December 9th, 2017, the Tampa Bay Lightning welcomed over 2,100 Hockey Scholar students, plus countless of teachers, parents and fans to Amalie Arena for the last stop on the NHL Centennial Tour. During this once in a lifetime opportunity, students and attendees had the opportunity to visit the Future Goals booth and work through Hockey Scholar modules, allowing them to learn more about the program.

In addition to setting up a booth, Future Goals sponsored teams from Winthrop Charter School in the Lightning Made Ball Hockey tournament. Future Goals students and fans from across the Tampa area had the chance to watch this competition and cheer on the teams to victory. Withrop Charter-Elementary Campus even took home the trophy for winning the competition! It looks like all of the things they have learned in Hockey Scholar definitely made them even better hockey players!
