Tell us about yourself!

I have been teaching for nine years, the last seven spent teaching 6th grade science. I absolutely love teaching children science; not only does it apply to everday life, but there is a branch of science for everyone! Getting kids to love science is my primary goal each and every day.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Wayne Simmonds; he is not only a spectacular player, but a determined leader as well.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I particularly enjoy the engineering lessons because it helps teach children to problem-solve. Quick thinking and problem solving are critical in hockey!

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Defense – I’m quick to save the day!
