Reading…Give It a Shot!

The Educational Partnership Foundation’s Reading…Give It a Shot! is a program that promotes reading and opens the minds of children up to a world knowledge and imagination. Through the Calgary Flames Foundation’s partnership with TEPF, children can collect Harvey the Hound and Calgary Flames player hockey cards as a reward to promote reading.

The curriculum-based assets are an exciting ‘inside look’ at Flames players that aims to motivate, educate, and inspire students to make healthy decisions and be active.

Calgary Flames Grade 6 YMCA Program

Grade 6 students in Calgary are eligible for a complimentary 13-month membership and access to its programs. The Grade 6 Membership helps keep students active and gain independence. No application is required, students can simply visit their local YMCA branch to access their free membership!
