Why did you decide to become a teacher?

The desire to make a difference in a child’s life.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

The most memorable moment as a science teacher happens yearly at our Elementary 6th grade Science Fair.  To see the culmination of their elementary science studies shine through a science project with such ownership and pride…priceless!

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

The idea of what we are doing in the classroom put in a game format really motivates the kids.  I also like the self paced approach students can take with the program.  This year, my favorite part is by far the ability to have kids use this program at home in the distant learning model that we are in.  I get so many positive feedbacks from kids with my google meets and zoom calls.  Many kids are challenged to have all of their trophies at 100%.

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

The students absolutely love it.  Of course you will always get the range of excitement, but overall, the kids really do love the program!

Who is your favorite player?

Zach Parise / I like his playing style, leadership, plus he is our hometown boy!
