Tell us about yourself!

I have been working with children for 20 plus years. I started out as a director of an After School educational program before joining Jackson Public School where I am now a Computer Lab Technician. I enjoy working with children helping them to grow and become life long learners. I come from a family of educators. I believe education is very important it open doors and gives opportunities that are hard to come by with out a good education. I volunteer at various things around my community. I am very outgoing and I look for various ways to engage my students in learning.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™ program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I love all the parts because it introduces them to science, technology math as well as a form of engineering. I have seen a difference in the way my students do math because the game has them working out and solving the problem before they can play the game. This is very rewarding and will help them on various test in the future. One game had them plotting points with the hockey put.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Goalie/ Goaltender because I want to defend my team by stopping the other team.
