Tell us about yourself!

My career as a technology teacher started in Oswego NY, graduating in May of 2021 and recipient of the Technology Professional Experience Excellence award. These past two years I’ve been teaching 8th grade technology and Pre-Engineering in Middletown, New York. My passion for technology started with my love for photography and stemmed into industrial arts and engineering. I decided to become a teacher for the purpose of becoming a positive representation of a successful woman in the stem careers. My favorite aspect of teaching is allowing the student’s creativity to be showcased in their projects! Throughout my community I’m involved with multiple Technology and Engineering Teachers associations along with Women in STEM.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Chris Kreider

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

My favorite aspect of the Future Goals Program is allowing my students to experience new ways of learning through the use of simulations and hockey! STEM is all around us, especially in hockey. In terms of engineering, the game or Hockey implements velocity and energy for speed, dynamics of the ice and laws of reflection for puck movements.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Center, to experience Face-off
