Tell us about yourself!

I teach 8th grade, Pre-Algebra. This is the beginning of my 4th year at Westwood Middle School. What I love most are the “ah-ha moments” when my students grasp a new concept or a concept they have been struggling with.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Andrei Vasilevskiy because he is the best goalie in the NHL and was best goalie in the playoffs with a 1.90 avg. He also won the Vezina Trophy in 18-19!

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

My favorite part is seeing the kids engaged, which isn’t an easy feat. The kids really like the games and the real world applications of the tasks.
