Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I became a teacher because I believe in being a life-long learner and wanted to have a space to encourage others to embrace the idea of being a life-long learner. I also experienced some amazing teachers in my own educational journey and appreciated how they impacted my life. I believed that I could inspire our future leaders to be great citizens and follow their dreams.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

I’ve had many, but my most memorable moments are when previous students contact me and tell me about how they are pursuing and accomplishing their dreams. This makes me very proud and reinforces that I’m accomplishing my own goals.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

I have my students working in small groups to accomplish each lesson and I enjoy that it encourages them to work together and collaborate. My favorite part is that it is aligned to state standards for science 6 and an interactive way for students to learn these standards.

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

They are enjoying that it is interactive, engaging, and like playing some of their favorite games.

Who is your favorite player?

I would have to say, Marc-Andre Fleury because he is the goalie.
