Tell us about yourself!

I currently teach 7th/8th grade physical Education as well as 7th grade Social Studies. I have been teaching for 28 years. I became a teacher because I like the interaction with students and helping them grow and develop into responsible young adults that can think critically to help solve them issues facing the world, I also coach high school basketball at Pacifica High School. I have been coaching at various schools for the past 42 years. I am married and have two kids and 2 dogs.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

John Gibson, because he is a goalie and goalies are the center of the action

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

It is really hard to pick a favorite part of the program. I like how students are engaged through technology to a multitude of topics. I like the way they use the game to teach math and science concepts. Students can see how these topics can be used in real world situations

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Goalie because I like defense and all of the action. I want the responsibility that the outcome of the game falls primarily on my shoulders.
