Tell us about yourself!

I have been a teacher for 11 years. The past four years I have been teaching science and math classes in the Career Development Program at OCM BOCES Career & Technical Education. I am passionate about relating curriculum to careers and real world applications. I strive to be a positive influence in all of my students lives and help them gain a passion for learning.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Wayne Gretzky for his overall accomplishments in the sports and giving back to communities.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I love how it is interactive and applies concepts I am teaching in my Facilities and Grounds Maintenance science class. Students really enjoy the program and are fully engaged when completing the activities. STEM is everywhere in the game of hockey, and all sports which helps promote interest in the curriculum for students who love sports.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Defense, in sports I always loved playing defense.
