Tell us about yourself!

I am in my first year of teaching and I have a grade 5/6 split class. I became a teacher because I love to learn – I am learning every day from my students and they keep me on my toes! I am very passionate about physical activity and developing physical literacy skills at an early age. Teaching physical education is my favourite!

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

My favourite player is Matthew Tkachuk because he plays so fiery and fiesty. (Go Flames!)

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

This is a great program because my students love hockey – it is a great way to incorporate some mathematics and STEM outcomes into their day.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Centre – I love to score but also want to support my goalie defensively.
