Why did you decide to become a teacher?
I became a teacher so I could make a difference in the world and help students to learn and grow to their fullest potential.
What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?
My most memorable moment as a teacher would have to be when students understand something in any subject that they had been struggling with. You can literally see their whole face light up since they know that because of the hard work that they put in, they achieved their goal.
What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?
My favorite part of Future Goals is that it is learning disguised as fun. They get to learn the Math and Science standards all while playing and learning hockey as well. I use it in my classroom to practice the Math and Science standards.
What was your student’s reaction to the program?
My students love the course. They constantly ask if they can do more of it. They feel accomplished when they win a trophy. They are improving in Math and Science because of this program. They also have gained more interested in hockey as well.
Who is your favorite hockey player?
My favorite NHL player is all of the players on the Florida Panthers, my local team because they are all team players and work well together. They are so supportive of each other and it shows through all of the games that they play.
