Tell us about yourself!

My name is Gregory Walter and I am a 6th grade special education/ENL teacher. I have been teaching for 8 years. I love working with the students and making their learning exciting and fun. When I am not teaching I am busy coaching soccer and basketball teams for my sons. I am the head of the beautification group in my neighborhood. My wife is also a special education teacher. We have 3 boys and our niece is our foster child. I also do stand up comedy whenever I have the chance.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

My favorite player is Andres Lee because, he plays the position that I played when I was younger and he is the Captain and leads his team on and off the ice.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

There are so many options for the students to utilize, and they are not bored doing the same thing over and over. STEM is all over the game of Hockey, from puck physics, equipment and uniform technology, surface area, and even statistics.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I played left wing when I was younger. It is my shooting side and it was ideal for scoring.
