Tell us about yourself!
I started teaching tennis to in the inner city to kids in the 90s then I major in engineering, electrical engineering. I volunteer at several public schools. After finishing my degree I major in mathematics. When I was in school (college) the Lord called me into teaching so I decided to teach mathematics then I get a masters in computer technology I’ve been teaching for 16 years now in the department of Ed. and coach tennis 20 years. I also love teaching and love to see my students learn as I explain a concept, that bring me joy. I’m involved in my church as a Sunday school teacher and I also coach tennis with the New York Junior Tennis League.
Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?
Mark Messier, very strong player has the tenacity to win and help people around him win.
What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?
Use a real sport activity to teach stem and math concepts that keep the students engaged.
If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?
I would play Forward, I like to be in a position to score goals and win the game!
