Tell us about yourself!

My name is Don Conaway and this is my 17th year as an educator and my 13th year in the Norristown Area School District. I have recently transitioned to my new role within ESTLA as the Director of our STEM Lab. I chose to be an educator because I love opportunity to inspire young learners and be positive members of their community. Along with directing our STEM Lab, I also help to facilitate the Norristown Sprouts Community Garden with the Montgomery County Dept of Health & Human Services here on our schools campus. I also facilitate my schools social media accounts.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

The best part of the Future Goals Hockey Scholars program is providing the real life connections to topics that we are learning in the classroom. Using something like the sport of hockey get our students focused learning is the key to creating life long learners.

Kevin Hayes is a great leader for the Philadelphia Flyers!

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Goalie because enjoy being the last line of defense.
