Tell us about yourself!

I have been teaching since 1989. I currently teach grade 6 in science and social studies. I decided to become a teacher early on because I loved helping others. I am the altar server scheduler for my church and I take my 14 year-old son to his activities. I am a single mom who works in education and I have a small business doing chalk art on the side.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™ program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I see STEM in all aspects of hockey. I think this program is awesome because it relates to science and math while incorporating a sport which excites my students. My favorite part of the Future Goals program along with the activities and academic portion is that the program teaches students to listen and follow directions while learning about STEM. The students can strive for EXCELLENCE and not for perfection. Thank you for this wonderful STEM program.

Who is your favorite NHL player?

I love Mario Lemieux. He was the GOAT.
