Tell us about yourself!

I have been teaching 24 years in DCPS. I currently am teaching Science, Language Arts, and computers. I also teach English at MDC. I decided to become a teacher because I decided it was the best career to be able to spend time raising my children and give back to the community. I love teaching because I want to give experiences to students like the opportunities I had when growing up. I have been very fortunate to have visited many parts of the world with the military and realized it was important others get some opportunities. So over 18 years I was able to take students to many different states and allow them to experience the history and what the United States have to offer.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I think this program makes students see real world scenarios and put skills they learn in the class to work.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I would like to play center. It is exciting and part of the beginning of a game.
