Tell us about yourself!

I’ve always wanted to be teacher. So many of my teachers inspired my decision to become a teacher. I’ve been blessed with having my dream job of teaching Math and Science to upper elementary students in Battle Lake MN. My favorite part about teaching is awakening a student’s confidence, motivation and perseverance! I also enjoy volunteering in the arts and at my church.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Mn Wild’s Jared Spurgeon! His perseverance and leadership qualities are inspiring! Plus My son is a huge fan of Jared.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

The Future Goals program allows my students to practice math and science concepts in a fun way!

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Defenseman – I don’t need to be in the spotlight- but I love to be an important part of the team and provide a lot of assists!
