New York Rangers March 2023 Teacher of the Month
Tell us about yourself!
I’ve been working with students for most of my adult life. I started in an after school program. I worked my way up and was fortunate enough to work for the DOE as a Para. I then became a teacher of students with disabilities. I now teach science and STEAM in my school:
What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?
I enjoy the interactivity of the program and how it makes my students think. These skills they use are necessary and some may not be skillful, however I use that as a teaching experience.
If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?
Goalie. I am not a good skater and I’m big enough to block the goal.
