Tell us about yourself!

I am currently a teacher candidate at the University of British Columbia, and have the wonderful opportunity to be placed in a grade 7 class for my practicum. I enjoy how teaching provides the opportunity to be a lifelong learner, and the impact that you have on a community. I look forward to having a long career in education.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

My favourite NHL player is Quinn Hughes of the Vancouver Canucks. Even as a young player, he shows incredible leadership on and off the ice, and has quickly become one of the most skilled players in the league. He plays with a level of confidence that I can admire.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I enjoy how user friendly the program is for all the learners in my class and I think using a program like this helps students to realize that STEM and other academics can be found in activities without them even realizing it.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Defense, as I enjoy having the opportunity to stop a goal being scored and making a nice breakout pass.
