Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I wanted to expose students to the wonderful opportunities that are available to them.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

When my first student came back to visit after graduating from Yale University.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

My favorite part is the wide range of ideas and topics covered in the lessons and how the students keep engaged with them.  Since remote learning, I have been exposing students to all sports that are available to them.  Since many do not have hockey equipment at home, I use this to expose students to the game of hockey and get them interested in the sport.

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

Many of the students love how the lessons tie into the game of hockey and it is like a competition to them.  In our end of unit survey, many of the students reported hockey being their favorite unit.

Who is your favorite player?

Patrick Kane because he has made the Blackhawks relevant again.
