Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I left a successful career in finance to become a teacher because I wanted to do something more fulfilling.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

Taking students to do water quality testing along the Platt River. I though, this is exactly what school should be like everyday! Real life, hands on experiences.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

My favorite part of future goals is giving kids a fun and different way to supplement learning at times on important topics. Something novel always helps with student engagement, and mine!

What was your students’ reactions to Future Goals?

I had a student comment “This is actually fun.” Which can be a big compliment coming from a 7th grader.

Who is your favorite NHL Player?

Pavel Francouz #39 and I share a birthday! Not the same year but the same day.
