Tell us about yourself!

My name is Jennifer Krupp and this is my 33rd year of teaching, mostly taught science over the years

6th grade Lakewood District in Hebron, Ohio  5 years

7th grade Academy District in Colorado Springs 3 years

6th and 7th grade Olentangy since 1999

I have served on many committees over the years and coached but currently serve on the Building Leadership Team (BLT) and the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) committee. I am committed to being a life-long learner and want the same for the students.  I have a passion for science and hands-on labs.  What I love being able to witness the growth the students make in all areas of development throughout the year. Member of the Elks and work on philanthropic events and volunteer for Special Olympics.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

My favorite would be Elvis Merzlikins. I tend to like the goaltenders best due to the fact that they have a huge individual responsibility on the team. He has won awards for being outstanding at his position as well being known for handling adversity well. He has been presented with both personal and professional obstacles along the way in his career and has handled them with great tact and charisma.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I love that the Future Goals program demonstrates that science is in all of our everyday lives. Many students in middle school love sports and this helps students recognize and apply their skills and knowledge to learn science. The STEM of the game of hockey is a great way to incorporate all the education initiatives today and it helps students connect what they are learning in all subject areas. It is applicable to their daily lives and makes the learning valuable to them.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I am a competitive person so I would want to play an offensive position. I feel that I am persistent person and definitely aggressive when it comes to sports so I think that would be the best fit for my drive and motivation.
