Tell us about yourself!

While I have 29 years dedicated to education and counseling, this is my first year strictly as a STEM teacher for grades 6 – 8.  I love the engagement that students have for the content and the project-based curriculum.  I have used EverFi for about 8 years as a supplement to my various curriculums and love the interactive game-format content it provides.  In my free time, I love baking, entertaining, dancing, musical theatre, and spending time with my grandchildren enjoying our backyard pool and kitchen.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

Future Goals is awesome at reinforcing math and science skills in a real-world format that is engaging for students. The kids are so focused on earning their “trophies” that they forget they are learning valuable skills.

Who is your favorite NHL player?

My favorite player is Jeremy Swayman. He is an outstanding goalie. My favorite hockey team is the Baton Rouge Zydeco because they are located in Louisiana.

If you played hockey what position would you play?

If I played hockey, I would want to be a forward so I had potential for scoring goals.
