Tell us about yourself!

My name is Stephanie Brazell and I teach 6th grade. Becoming a teacher has always been my dream. My favorite part of Trillium Academy is our community. My coworkers and students have become family. I love that I get to see my 6th graders grow from their awkward middle school years and become amazing young adults in high school. For the last 10 years I have lead the Parent, Educator Organization/PEO. I’ve planned dances/event for all grades. I’ve planned and organized the last 8 Field Days. The last 2 summers I was the Director of Summer School where I organized and managed classrooms ranging from kindergarten-12 grade to help close the gap from learning loss during Covid. I created a safety program. Middle school students became community leaders by helping young students cross the street.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

My favor NHL player has always been Steve Yzerman. He was always so loyal to the Detroit Red Wings and the organization as a player on the ice now as a leader in the office. He was determined to break the cruse and bring the Stanley Cup back to Detroit and he did so many times!

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

The Future Goals Program has been a wonderful tool to help students see the world through a new light. It presents students with new ways of thinking and problem solving.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

If I played hockey I think I would be the goalie because I work well under pressure.
