Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I loved playing school as a child. In high school and college I enjoyed working with children in a variety of jobs. Nature and science have always been passions of mine. Those passions made me want to become a science teacher. I also was inspired by many of my wonderful teachers.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

I have enjoyed seeing students get excited and passionate about working on projects that they can share in the real world. We are currently working with the Minnesota Zoo engineering enrichments for the Red Panda. I love seeing students use science in the real world which is one reason I have implemented Hockey Scholar. Students can see science around them.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

Students can see science is all around them!

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

Students enjoyed seeing science connected to the real world. It was perfect this year for distance learning!

Who is your favorite player?

Zach Parise- Born in Minnesota and an amazing player!!!!!
