Tell us about yourself!

I have been teaching in the Nashville Tennessee area for 38 years. During most of those years, I have taught middle school math, but have always been a middle school teacher. I enjoyed going through the future goals program with my college and career ready students this year. All of my 6/7 and eighth graders completed the program. We talked a lot about hockey as well in my class and I do feel that it was very beneficial for them.

I come from a family of teachers, and always knew that I would be, teacher one day. I have been married for 35 years with three children and five grandchildren. I’m not sure what I will do when I retire but I do look forward to that time one day.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™ program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I loved how it Inc. math into hockey. It was awesome to learn about the angles of the passes.

Who is your Favorite Hockey Player?

Mike Fisher. Retired. I feel that he was a very good role model.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I would play goalie because it is the most challenging.
