Tell us about yourself!

I have 13 years experience teaching. I currently teach STEM to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. I decided to become a teacher because I love helping children become life long learners. I love doing the fun hands on STEM activities with my students. I am also one of the TSA (Technology Student Association) club sponsors. My students love technology and learning more about it in the club.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Juuse Saros is my favorite because he is great at his job of goalie. I like a lot of the other players too.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I love the game aspect of it. The kids enjoy playing the games and earning the trophies. STEM is incorporated in the game of hockey in many ways, some include: science of keeping the ice cold, displaying the game, using different pads for the players, and calculating heart rate of the players during the game.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Center because they are the ones that usually score.
