I have been teaching technology for over 2 years now. I enjoy watching the students learn a new skill that will help them in their future careers. Every day and every period are different because I teach all grades, from K-8.
What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?
STEM is huge in the game of hockey. From little things like understanding the angles for shots and passes, to determining if a play was offside or if a puck crossed the goal line using different types of methods like video or GPS in the puck and posts.
I like how the Future Goals program lets the students see how STEM works in sports, which can make it more exciting for them to learn about the topic.
If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?
Bottom-six winger. I would take such joy in shutting down the other team’s goal scorers. Killing penalties and doing what it takes to keep the other team off the scoresheet and help my team win.
