Tell us about yourself!

I am a teacher for over 20 years and I have been teaching software engineering to middle school students (grades 6,7,8) for the last 11 years. I come from a line of teachers in my family and love the connection to the students that keeps me energized everyday. Watching my students discover how to create on the computer and the look of achievement on their faces is priceless. I am Chairman of the Board for the Coop I live in, I am the President of the 99 year old (non-profit) local marching band, and Vice-Chair of the Pastoral Counsel for Blessed Trinity Parish.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I love how the math brings in real life situations and the students look at the rink and other aspects of hockey in a “math” light.
