Why did you decide to become a teacher?

I had so many incredible teachers who inspired me when I was growing up. I wanted to inspire my students too. Seeing my students grow and develop is truly rewarding.

What has been your most memorable moment as a teacher?

My favorite moment as a teacher was probably when my third grade class came up with the idea to have a Sports Day For Charity raising money for the Boomer Esiason Foundation, Friends of Karen, Stand Up To Cancer, and Tiny NR Helpers. Six years later we still have North Rockland Sports Day For Charity every spring.

What is your favorite part of Future Goals and how are you using it in your classroom?

Future Goals is an awesome interactive program that the students really like using! Sometimes they go on during their independent time for exploration and on other occasions we use it to reinforce the skills learned in the classroom. Future Goals has been great to use during our hybrid remote learning as well.

What was your student’s reaction to the program?

The students really love using the Future Goals program! When they first used the program, it was so great to see their eyes light up! They are very motivated to learn when using Future Goals!

Who is your favorite NHL Player?
