Tell us about yourself!

This is my 14th year as a teacher. I started as a middle school teacher, spent 8 years teaching high school, and returned to middle school. I had always wanted to become a teacher to feel good about what I did everyday and make a positive difference in the world and help kids grow and develop into young adults. I most enjoy seeing kids become confident and proficient in skills and concepts covered in class. I am also a coach for 2 seasons (golf in the fall, baseball in the spring) and active in our local little league (KAU). I have served on the KAU Board for more than 10 years.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program?

I primarily use the Ignition, FutureSmart, and Venture courses, however students that use Future Goals seem to enjoy it.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

Goalie. I don’t skate particularly well or fast.
