Please write a short bio about yourself and your teaching career!

I was recruited to teach shortly after graduating with my Bachelor’s degree. My passion for making a difference in the life’s of others is what keeps me engaged. While teaching I earned my MBA with a specialization in Marketing. I then transferred from teaching struggling readers to the Business Department. I created a Marketing program from scratch and in two years went from 45 students in Marketing to nearly 200. My focus is teaching students skills they will need to become successful entrepreneurs and adults with careers that they love. I strive to teach my students what they need to know pass the Entrepreneurs and Small Business.

Who is your favorite NHL® player and why?

Victor Hedman, because he’s goes after the puck and scores goals.

What is your favorite part of the Future Goals™program? How do you see STEM in the game of hockey?

I love how interactive the program is. Students are making real world connections and see that math and science is all around them. It helps keep them excited and invested in learning when they know it goes beyond the classroom.

If you played hockey, what position would you play and why?

I would probably be the goalie because I have quick reflexes and I am protective by nature.
